Does anyone know the viewing angle or forward voltage of the stock PM eyes?

Without knowing the brand and part number of the eyes it's hard to say with 100 percent certainty.

However, assumeing they are 3mm T-1 cased emitter/receivers....

*Forward voltage should be in the neighborhood of 1-1.6 or 7 volts at absoloute max 50mA current pulsed (20-30mA nominal continuous).

*Veiwing angle should be probably 25 degrees or less.

Hope this helps. What exactly are you trying to do?

Just looking around the newark site. I have bought and used the ones listed on here, but I wanted to get what is right, not just what works.

With out a Part number listing on a wiring diagram or something "official" from ICD, there's no way to know EXACTLY what brand/model they used. I know they used Fairchild Semiconductor brand 5mm eyes in those old setups. If you have working eyes then you can test the forward voltage you are getting and try to buy something equivelent, however that can be misleading since the max forward voltage might be 1.6v, you may only read at 1v. That doesn't mean as much as as the current not exceeding the secifications of the emitter.

Sadly, ICD only lists the specs for 12-pin wiring harnesses. I will email them and see if I can get some of the 22-pin specs.

According to the "official" ICD wiring diagram dated 4/02 in the gallery section here they used:
1N6264 5mm Fairchild IR emitter (metal can style) and
QSD723 5mm Fairchild Photo Detector/Transistor (black plastic case)

Since the date on the diagram is 2002, would that make it for a 22 pin or 12 pin board? I really don't think it matters, since functionaly they(the eyes) are the same. Do the promasters have 3 or 5mm eyes?
