I am having an issue where the bolt (HE bolt kit) on my freestyle will not fully cycle.

I set the regs according to the blue fork method, and each time I pull the trigger, the bolt will move part way forward, but not back. on about the 3 rd trigger pull, the bolt will blow forward and vent air out the front of the marker.

If I then increase the lpr, the bolt will move back, but the bolt will not move forward anymore.

I have replaced all of the o-rings on the bolt, lpr and switched hpr's a couple of times. I have also lubed it with superlube oil.

I checked all of the passages and I did not see and debris.

Any ideas??

** SOLVED** Had to put a little lube on the solenoid piston itself, it ws bone dry. Works like a champ now!!

Best I can say off hand is to disassemble the bolt and reassemble it per THCGunsmoke's directions. Check the Freestyle FAQ's for his website link.

He states that it the kit has to be reassmbled correctly or it will throw off the timing and that could cause that cycling issue.

After you reassemble the Bolt, reset your regs per THC's video tutorial also found on his website. Here is the link: THC reg balance tutorial

Check your oring size on the stem going through the power tube. I have had issues with them before, since they can be either 006 or 007, and there are 2 common and one uncommon size for the powertube. If the oring for the powertube (the one on the outside that seals it) is midway down to the threads, you should be using the 006. Is the oring is at the top, it should be 007.

Make sure you lube the oring as well. a drop of superlube.

come to think of it. i was noticing that it seemed like it was taking a bit to recharge after each trigger pull, aka, when i pulled the trigger and the solenoid cycled, it took a second or 2 for the HPR gauge to rise to the proper pressure again.

hpr or lpr issue?? my guess would be hpr, but I have used it on other markers just fine...
