JT, I always use dow 33. It is safe on anything and does a great job. Here is a link to a guy on Ebay that sells a thread saver for your tank and throws in a container of dow 33. I bought from him because I lost my thread saver and was impressed with the amount of dow that he includes. It will last me a year.

For 6 bucks shipped. this is a steal.

I have some hater too & it is good stuff. I loaned it out, so I am using the dow from the fill nipple guy right now. I play mostly scenario and am using a TM-7 mostly for that. They require a lot of lubing....

I've got a couple of cans of Slick Honey. Not my favorite. Not bad, but seems to get a little too sticky in extreme cold. Great for static sels, i.e. valve and manifold orings

I have both superlube grease and oil. I use the grease on pistons, and oil on anything you want to move fast, like ram etc.

I started out using dow 33, but after digging it out of multiple solenoids that did not work, I stopped using it.

Hmmm, interesting. I started using dow years ago with my son's Impulse because smart parts said that was the only thing to use. I got a tube of Sleek (dow 33) and was using that and did not notice any problems, but I never claened a solenoid (at that time) either. Last year i picked up some hater sauce and used it a bit & then "loaned" it to a teammate for his new Ego and never got it back. I have continued to use the dow.

When I picked up my TM-7 last summer, I tried to use the gunk that came with it, but it looks & feels like Vasoline. The BT Owners group says to throw it away. I went back to my dow. The thing is, the TM7 solenoid tends to stick and you have to clean it regularly. It is much simpler that a humphrey (thankfully), but you have to do it often. I am now wondering if it is the dow 33. I may have to pick up some of the super lube. We have a harbor freight here in town. thanks, guys. good thread.
