An aftermarket board wakes this marker up. The stock board has limited adjustability, only trigger sensitivity and dwell. You can get a stock board flashed with Tadao's Musashi 6 program for $30. A good trigger is also a nice performance upgrade.

The Virtue board on your friend's PM6 frame should fit the PM5. The PM5 & PM6 use the same board, the only difference between the PM5 & PM6 frame might be the shape and how it mounts on the body. They even use the same trigger. The UL frames are really nice and comfy but a bit pricey. I had a chance to use my cousin's DM7 & DM9 and they feel great specially with the Dye grips. LMK if i can be of further assistance.

i would not put a UL on a pm5. I think it looks forced and weird. I would just put a critical trigger, JDS lpr, and either a TechT bolt or a Lucky bolt (if you can find one), and definetly a hybrid back cap. That's about all you need. Oh, and a board. Like a tadao.

I would get top hat mods or make your own. I got some lucky ones and for the price they can't be beat. The air effiency will never be great but they help a bit. Its hard around here to get air fills both at the field between games and at shops so maybe I'm bias toward getting more shot per tank mods.

Other than those the main thing is just try it for awhile and see what you like/dislike. Most upgrades are personal (for me anyways). I've got a PM6 and really dislike the stock trigger, but I'm not going to put the cash for a UL frame.

if the top hat mod is easy/cheap ill prob take your advise and try it out. air is not a problem for me as the fill at 2 of the 3 places i play at is 10 feet from where you enter the field. Thanks for all the info and advice all!! still trying to find out if the frame and bolt will fit though!

After a bit of research i'm almost 100% sure the frame will not fit. Good news is the bolt might. Hope this helps.

well its not the news i hoped for but at least i have an answer =) Thanks for your help!!! and i hope the bolt does fit, it seems like that would be the most costly of the parts to replace though i could probably get an aftermarket bolt =)

Stock bolt really isn't that bad. If you just do some basic mods, it works pretty well.
