i am old school when it comes to software. i am still using windows xp (skinned like windows 2k) on all my pcs and i play old video games. i also normally use word 2003. HOWEVER, i acquired this nice netbook in a debt settlement (broke his kneecaps, took the laptop = debt settled) and it has word 2007 on it. I HATE word 2007.

the question is does anyone know how to make microsoft word 2007 behave and act like word 2003? i dont want to have to roll the software back, but if it comes to it, i will.

Not sure how much this will help but try this maybe?

At least it will look more like what your accustom too.

I personally can't stand MS programs so I axed both 03/07 and switch to open office, its free ware and I prefer it to any word.

Yes the new Ribbons are horrible. MS took something useful and killed productivity. All the while telling people it will help them be more productive. I hope you don't look at Office 2010. You will have a heart attack. It is even more different. Well at least they didn't change the file format again.

Yeah, we Mac users don't really have these problems. Good luck with your macrosift or whatever it's called

Yes but Mac also cost 6-7 times as much as his netbook and unless others are using a Mac or has Office for Mac it is not compatible with a large amount of the work force in the United States. Just pointing out that Macs have some flaws which mainly comes down to price and compatibility.

Don't get me wrong I actually can't stand MS but for what I use it for, it is the best platform. I am also not trying to start a Mac vs Everything else so please don't flame me about how my pc has viruses and can't do anything that the Mac can do.

I apologize for taking it the wrong way. It just gets me when either Mac guys or Pc guys start flames wars. I just point out out they both have their strong points and there is some stuff Macs do great and stuff that PCs do great. My problem is that Macs cost so much and the hardware on the inside is the same. How can they justify charging almost three times more for the same hardware that is in a pc? Sorry for the hijack just my two cents.
