the hurricane is coming to South Jersey. if you have been paying attention to the news, it will, in all likelihood hit the southern most tip of New Jersey, which is where i live. now, my family and friends are getting ready to leave. i have to stay till Friday night when i finish my shift, as am considered Emergency personal. even when the county and everyone has to be evacuated, i still have to be at work.

today, there is a mandatory evac for all barrier islands along the coast and a voluntary evac for the rest of the county, till tomorrow at Friday 8am, where it is a mandatory county wide evac. so during that, family and friends are leaving but i will be staying at work. after Friday night, i'll be joining family and friends, so its no big deal. don't worry about me. i'll be fine. if you wish to say something for me, i can't stop you. i'll text or call FGB or VDub if i can't get on the net, but that shouldn't be a problem. i'm not one to head for the hills cause i think the sky is falling, but this is something a little too serious to try to guess at.

so i'll be think good thoughts and hopefully by Monday/Tuesday i'll be back home shutting down threads and being a **** to everyone. who knows, maybe i will have the last of harnesses made for everyone. guess people should have go them when i was around Wink

Be safe, all you dudes in the wake of the hurricane. I see that there is an alert in six states now. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I will keep my earthquakes, thank you very much.

You'll be fine. I used to live in Florida, and hurricanes aren't super terrible.

But, just keep us up to date so we know you're ok.

tell that to the people that to the 8000 people who died in the Galveston Hurricane of 1900. Smile

course back then they didn't have the early detection we have now, they were largely caught by suprise. but don't kid yourself they are not something to take lightly is all i'm saying.

That was not my motive at all. They should be taken as seriously as any other natural disaster.

I'm just saying that I've been through some pretty bad hurricanes, and that you'll be fine.

I've been watching the news on it, and it's only a category 2 right now.

Haha, ok.

I'm actually a bit worried too. I'm on the coast of South Carolina right now, and the weather is getting progressively worse and worse
