Hi Gang. I seem to be having an issue with my marker.

First, the equipment.
B2K4 PDS
Stock valve
Stock LPR
WGP Orracle HPR

Problem:
Battery is fine.
HPR set to 250-300.
LPR starts at 0psi then adjusted up until bolt cocks.
Then turn LPR up another 1/6th of a turn and a leak happens at the solenoid. It is from the solenoid as I've taken the tray off and have actually felt the air coming from the solenoid. Specifically, it's coming from the area in between the manifold and solenoid at the front (barrel side) of the gasket that's between the solenoid and the manifold.
At 1/6th of a turn up from the point where the bolt cocks, is very very low LPR pressure. This will not get me any reasonable velocity.
Solenoid works as it will fire the marker. I can turn up the LPR and the marker will fire, but the leak will increase (obviously).

What I've done:
I've taken the solenoid off the manifold, and I've also taken the manifold off the body. The o-rings and gasket look fine. I've lubed up the o-rings and gasket and have reassembled. I've snugged down the manifold and the solenoid screws so that they're not overtightened. Basically, snugged down enough and to the same point as what I have for my own B2K4.

Still leaks at very low LPR pressures.

I don't think the solenoid is blown as it still works. But, I think the 125psi pressure relief valve is out of adjustment.

Is there a way to fix the pressure relief valve if that is the problem?

Thanks
GW

turn down you HPR a little and see what happens I beleive that you HPR is too high to help you LPR get reasonable pressure with out the relief valve going off. The reason you don't get velocity I think is becuase of the leak

Turn your LPR down.

Hurray, another canadian!

If you have a duplicate 'noid you can swap in to assure it's the noid, I would do that - and if you can confirm it's the noid, contact one of our sponsors - www.airsoldier.com - he's the 'noid guy and can likely give you a hand.

Hope that helps.

D.

even if the gasket looks good i would try a new one. its cheap enough from airsoldier.com and its always a good idea to have a spare gasket anyways.

Ok folks. Here are some pics.

I've replaced the noid with a new one. Noid is from ASP. Noid works.

I've labeled the pic where the leak occurs (at the manifold), and also where the leak in the manifold corresponds to the hole in the noid. The leak is from the same location with the OEM noid.

I've cleaned, checked, and reinstalled the o-rings at the manifold. The o-rings are essentially new. No debris. The gasket between the noid and the manifold is new.

Again, HPR is adjusted to 275psi. I start by backing out the LPR so that no air goes through, then, I gas up the marker. Then, I turn the LPR in until the bolt cocks. As soon as there's enough pressure to cock the bolt, the leak starts. When I try to push the bolt forward, there's very very little resistance by the bolt/ram. I've cleaned and lubed up the LPR and the RAM using white lithium grease.

Leak is still there. The leak is behaving as if the marker is being overpressurized. However, based on how far the LPR screw is in (it's not that far in), and also by the resistance (or lack thereof) of the cocked bolt, it can't be overpressurized.

At this point, I'm not sure what else I can do.

Please help. BTW, I'm teching this for Buttjupp. I'm afraid the next step is to send it into an "authorized" ICD repair centre.

It may be possible that the lpr is not working very well. I mean essentially that the lpr is not dropping the pressure as it should. I suggest tearing down and relubing the lpr. See if that helps.

Sounds like you have a bad leak valve...could be an internal spring or internal o-ring.

1) LPR IS regulating the pressure as I can set it so that no pressure gets through. As I turn up the LPR, the bolt will start with partial cocking, and as I turn it up further, the bolt will continue to advance towards the fully cocked position. Also, I have my own B2K4 to compare. With my B2K4 shooting properly, the cocked bolt requires quite a bit of push to move it foward against the LPR pressure. As such, Buttjupps LPR is not set too high.

2) The comment about the leaky valve and o-ring. I installed a new noid from ASP.
