I don't own a cops911 vest, but I have had the pleasure of using one, and I have to agree with D, they are top notch, and they will work with you to put on there what you want, and how you want it. Top notch folks.

i've always switched back and forth so I actually like both with and without depending an what type of pball I'm playing. I've been thinking of making the ultimate scenario bushy. In trying to come up with a cool scenario setup I wanted to switch over to a q-loader, put weaver rails on for accessories, and possibly put a remote on. I have the same question as a few of you have. with other guns after putting on a remote I put a stock on to be able to shoulder the gun correctly. With a bushy there is no stock available. I was wondering how hard it would be to modify an A5 stock to fit a bushy. what would be needed? The top tube of the older bushies is pretty thick and can take some milling and modification pretty easily so it should be possible right?

Tok, why not use the bottom tube? Have is so stock screws in place of the ram cap.

Yea I noticed how many nice a5 stocks are out there. This would be an interesting mod.

yeah thought of that too, but I figured less work and less possabiltiy of f'ing something up if I just mod the top tube.

I've seen stocks that attach at the bottom of the grip frame using the standard ASA holes, but I think that is the wrong place for a stock. it should be up higher.

I just have to get my hands on an A5 stock and see what it would take.

Hmmmmm interesting ideas....

I personally would not go with an A-5 stock. They are made for A-5s and can't be modded easily. Plus they sell for around $30.

You can get a new 3 position AR-15 stock for about $15 on ebay (at least that's how much mine cost me a year ago). These are great to work with cause they are aluminum through the core and can be welded onto other aluminum parts (like a bushy body or ram).

If I was going to try and come up with an interesting way of doing this I would drill and tap the sides of the top tube to accept 4 screws. I would then fabricate a plate that would wrap around the back of the top tube. I would then have the stock welded onto this plate. You could even get creative to make removal easier (for cleaning brakes). But worse case scenario you would have to undo the four screws and take the stock off so that you could remove the bolt and then clean it.

Either way I would think that it would be easy to do once you had fabricated the plate. Hardest part would be making the plate curved so that it would fit the body nice and snug and look like it belonged. Of course the good thing is you can duracoat it so that it will match the gun perfectly.

I would also try and find a used banana clip, gut it and cut a slot so that you can slide it up over the Reg. Then hold it in place with a cheese head screw in place of your gauge.

I don't know if you wanna go there but it would look sweet.

Oh and one last thing. AR-15 stocks are hollow all the way down so you can run an air line through them with no worries. As long as it is a coiled line that can move as you adjust the position of the stock.

Here's a pic of the plate I'm thinking of.

hmm.. dont want to have to make a plate. there are some gas through stocks.. dont rmember if they where for a5 or some other gun. but the gas through option sounds nice. I figured if i do some work to the top tube I can probably get something to fit without having to fabricate to much.

and after doing a bit more looking it seems that the 98c stocks will be an easier mod.

here is one of the simple gas-through stocks. i think this one screws into your asa.

Yeah it does I had one of those on my first Tippy 98. Good solid stock.

Oh and the Gas through stocks are made for the A-5 or 98, but they are solid stocks or SAW stocks. You know if you got an ASA threaded bit...there is a link on the 15* ASA thread in the technical forum. You might find someone that would just thread the back of your Top tube and then you could just screw one of those in there.....

But I would like the 3 pos stock better...even though it would just be for style points.

that's exactly what I was thinking, but like you said I like the "looks" of the other stocks. but this would be pretty easy just need to thread the upper tube like you said.
