i'm not even getting over 7bps. There is really something wrong with the ram. It doesn't come back fast enough. I ty to force the bolt back and it feels stiff.

Sounds like perhaps the bore of the ram assembly was towards the lower end of the tolerances while the piston is at the upper end.

I would suggest giving ICD a call about this one. The manual doesn't describe how to take apart the ram or even describe if the ram is user-servicable.

Cheers

Another possibility is the hammer. These can occassionally begin to come unscrewed from the ram shaft. Id this is the case the bolt cannot return all the wat to all the next ball to fall into the breech. simply remove the ram, manually pull the hammer out and grip the shaft with some "SOFT" grips. Then make sure the hammer is as tight down as it can be. If the hammer is not returning to the ver edge of the sileniod when you let it go this is most likely the problem.

It got really bad this weekend and i really had to force the bolt back into place. I took it apart again and used battle lube instead of dow. I lubbed up the ram a lot and worked it for half an hour then it suddenly came back to normal...and it's all good now. Thanks for all your input and hopefully i can help you guys out someday.

yea. battle lube is paintball gun oil. and yes i've heard that you should use it. But i did have dow and i lubed up the ram but nothing. it actually made it worse. so i cleaned the ram and put quite a bit of battle lube and it works perfectly now.

I too have had to use conventional paintball oil on the ram shaft in my BKO. When using Dow33, my BKO would start to have cycling problems later on in the day, usually after having gone through a couple cases of paint. When I would take it apart, the ram shaft would almost be sticky to the touch. I still use Dow33 for all other recommended lubrication points, but now I lightly coat the ram shaft with conventional paintball oil after thoroughly cleaning it with a Q tip...and let me reiterate that again: lightly coated...you don't have to use a whole lot. Just one micro bead placed on the ram shaft and then work it all over with your finger tip.

Now, my BKO rips all day long without a hitch.
