I would hesitate buying the urethane stem orings from MCmaster. I think that has been causing leaks in the freestyles I have worked on.

problem is no one carries 008 rings for the HR1 besides mcmaster and possible ICD if I call them. Otherwise I would have just bought the OEM kit from MarketKits since those have the urethane rings but not for the 008's for the HR1.

You know of somewhere else to get the 008's?

I've had good luck with urethane orings from oringsusa.com. They're not the cheapest (urethane never is), but the quality has always been there. Here's a link for 90 durometer 008 urethane orings. They divide their urethane into 2 categories - Industrial use (millable gum) and Paintball Marker use (cast). I've always felt like the cast orings were garbage while the millable gum were fantastic. If the orings you get form ssechriest work for you, awesome, if not, I would recommend giving these a shot. Good luck!

so even though they specifically say the millable gum based orings are not for paintball they seem to work better?

Im going to place an order since I need some 017 and 015's also and just want to be sure since they recommend the cast rings on the site.

With both the 70 and 90 durometer orings that I have ordered from them, the millable gum have been much higher quality. The cast orings have always been very poor quality, I don't know how else to describe them. The millable gum 017 70 durometers are some of the nicest orings I've dealt with.

alright, thanks for the info, I am going to place an order with them today. I did a quick check yesterday adding them to my cart and I can get 5x rebuild for all 4 oring sizes I need in urethane for $11. Not bad.

Thanks to everyone who continues to help me on this, I will update everyone once I get the new orings in and I am probably going to remove my QEV and just put an elbow fitting in there from my rebuild kit to prevent any future problems.

Thx SSE, got the rings today and I got my other urethane ones in from oringusa so I will be swapping them out tonight and I think I have some air to test for the leaks.

Appreciate it.

So are the urthane orings supposed to be very very hard? They are so firm when I put them in the bolt becomes very hard to move back and forth even with plenty of superlube. Not sure if they are supposed to break in but without having aired it up the bolt feels very very hard to move with the urethane rings installed.

I checked some old stock ones I had in a bag from when the marker was new and they are softer than the ones I got.

Just seems weird they would be so hard.
