Dye does make good stuff but were always overpriced to me when they didn't offer much over other brands with similar pants. The only thing I wish my it's had was more pockets, which I think was solved with the new Fx 2.0

Ya I agree Dye has always been on the high side.. I never paid as Dye gave me my stuff for free! LOL so Im probably not the best person to ask however I buy Dye stuff today and I wont change my opinion, they make a great product that is a good weight and durable.

What do you need pockets for? I only ever used the straight shot pocket in the leg, I have always found it to be rather difficult to get my hands in and out of the other pockets with gloves on.

I have a swab and my barrel bag in my pockets. occasionally i'll also identically leave some keys or cash in them as well.

My old jt pants have HUGE pockets, plus cargo pockets also. I also have empire pants and their pockets are lacking quite a bit.

depends on what Im doing but your right, I usually only have my swab in the straight shot and maybe a rag or something in my other to do quick wipes between games(staging area and where I keep my gear are different at one field) but otherwise it isn't really needed.

I do leave my phone in one sometimes on accident.

All the more reason to not have pockets! I broke a phone diving once that way...

My old pants were some Dye somethingorother.. They were rock solid but brand new Dye pants are $160+

No thank you...

I might just try to find some used pants on pbn, think I found a pair of Planet Eclipse for $60

go for it. it's ridiculous that pants are so expensive, but if you found something cheaper, then all the better.

I used to get all my clothes on PbN. the only thing that depreciated faster than paintball guns, is paintball clothes.

I got my PE 11s for 100 new, they're heavy and thick, but indestructible, padded and kevlar knees, extra pod holders behind the legs, swab packets and zippered ID pocket

I wish all the pockets were zippered. I like the microfiber in Empire pants, but sometimes they blow out easy.

LYSK and PBRack pants are good, as well as the new JT line

Do the PE have good groin protection? I rarely use a cup when playing but it seems more and more of an issue these days..
