PostPosted: Sun Apr 18, 2010 1:29 pm    Post subject: Getting my ICD guns up and running

Well after over a year of not playing paintball due to knee problems, i decided the hell with the pain and played my first game back a couple of months ago. Well, had a blast as usual and i'm back in the game.

I also stopped visiting ICDO for a couple of years due to the frustration i had with my ICD guns. I have 5 ICD markers (a B2K4, 2 Murder Inc BKOs, a 05 NDFS and a FS8), of the 5 only the green MI BKO was shooting. I shelved the rest, some in pieces since i had a 05 Proto and an Ego 6 that just plain refused to break down.

A couple of weeks ago i visited ICDO for some info on the BKOs to get the green MI BKO shooting better and found that this forum is still just as friendly and helpful when i was around a couple of years ago. I got the green MI BKO cleaned, lubed & tuned and is now shooting nicely. I dug up the rest of my ICD markers and started working in getting them running again. Next was the 05 NDFS since it was in one piece and didn't need to be put back together. After over a week of time, patience and plenty of air, i finally got it working right. WOO HOO! Got 2 working and 3 more to go. With a bit more time and patience i might just get all 5 running again. Thanks ICDO.

My B2K4 in pieces. Might need a new board and harness needs work. Will probably pull the power switch to use in the black MI BKO.

My 2 Murder Inc BKOs. The green one is shooting great now and the black one just got rebuilt and put back together in the last couple of days. Still need to replace the flaky power switch and tuned to get it shooting right.

And the 2 Freestyles, a FS8 and the 05 NDFS. Finally got the NDFS shooting properly yesterday and the FS8 while it looks complete still needs some work. It was a blender, would break paint all the time and has a leak. It has been rebuilt with a factory o ring kit and new detents. Would like to get this one up and running pretty bad. I really want to like this marker.

No, that's an old ACI Graffiti series barrel. They had a few designs that they made. If i remember correctyl, i picked it up on ebay for around $25 a few years ago. It's a little heavy because of the stainless back but it's a pretty damn good barrel. And the black one is a BKO and not a Bushmaster.

Yeah, that's an early Smart Pars All-American on the green one. No inserts and it's an epoxied 2 piece, doesn't unscrew apart. And the other one as mentioned earlier is an ACI Graffitti series, before they started naming everything in their line "Phat". Also have a Lapco Autospirit somewhere in the garage, the most accurate Cocker barrel i've ever used! These barrels are about 10 years old, i didn't know that counted as old school.
