some of the better beers are worth paying a bit extra for. i've actually been buying some favorites and holding on to them to see how they age.

Yo, I'm drinking Red Hook Long Hammer IPA right now!
All I have to say is that is is like a party in my mouth and everyone is invited. Very tastey.
I've also got Blue Dog. It is a blueberry beer. Good but a little sweet.

If any of you happen to make it out to Newport, Or, Rogue Brewing occasionally does batches of Rauchbeir (Smoke ale) which they have at their brewpub.
Love their I2(squared)PA, which is an Imperial IPA.
Brutal Bitter is great too.
I do miss having Leinenkugals, Goose Island and Bells around. (the only decent micros in the Midwest last time I checked)
If I were to choose a brewery that seems to do no wrong though, I'd go with Anderson Valley. Every one of their beers seems to be spot on. Most breweries are strong with a couple varieties, but fall off on others. Anything from Anderson Valley is a good choice.
Stone's IPA are great too.
I was living in Portland for a while and MAN, do you get spoiled with good micros.
I'm sure I could go on, but this isn't a brewers website, so I'll just tip back my Bridgeport IPA in a toast to y'all tonight.
