i was fiddling with my gun one day and i noticed that when i put two balls in the feed neck and shined a light down the front of the breech i could see that the second ball protruded very very slightly into the top tube. i know this wouldn't cause a chop but what i'm thinking is that the bolt might push the second ball up a little when it fires causing a blowback effect. what do you think about this?

How would the ball going 1/10th of an inch cause blowback? blowback is with air pushing balls up, not balls barely pushing balls up. A fix for it would be bigger balls.

first of all, i have a vaporbolt and i don't think that relates to what i'm talking about at all....

second, i don't mean actual blowback, just the effect of it (the balls jumping up the feedneck). not due to air but the slight amount of the ball above the one in the breech being exposed to the bolt when firing.

i don't really have problems with it but i just thought it might cause that EFFECT (not actual blowback from air)

Hmm good thinking tho, it might be the cause of some blowback-ness. Why don't you just try it and find out if it really moves up Smile (not meant sarcastic if it seems like that)

Blowback can be caused by a number of things, normally it can be traced to lpr/hpr pressure being too high or out of whack. Sometimes the valve can get misalined, or airflow is restricted in another way.

Check and see if your blot is causing bounce with 3 balls in the feedneck and no hopper on.

I think that is why they made those powerfeed systems before. Im looking at putting a spare triangular bumper from level 10 and to make it stick out a tad and minimize them (I think they call them ball feed offset). Anyways I think once your firing 10bps or more the ball might not have enough time to go back as you have described since it just have enough time to drop in and fired (the first one is always an offset feed), that is just my thinking though and Im always wrong anyways Wink

edit: Add: That didn't go well, the bumper flew outta there at first shot-bummer, I even used that plastic epoxy glue and I was so sure that it bonded very well with the bolt. Sad
