Hello every one,

Close Friends of mine and former team mate are trying to gather support to save the sport we all love.

Its a non-prophet organization staffed by players aimed at bring more people in to the sport. I'm sure most of us remember the good years when the sky was the limit and and paintball related sales seemed only to increase.

But now its no secret we are endanger of losing our sport as we know it. Paintball events are fewer and far between, fields are closing, and we are losing our player base.

Well it time for the players to take back the responsibly.

I post this hear only because i know most of us have been around long enough to care.

Please Check it out www.savepaintball.org Idea

Thanks!

Paintball isnt going anywere. Its been around a long time, things go up and down naturally with the economy. You want to save paint ball??? Buy a extra loaner marker and a half case of balls and take a nice noob kid with you next time you go. No wwworg freaking needed! Smile

I never said paintball was going to die. I said"we're endanger of losing our sport as we know it" but to correct myself i should of said as some of us know it

You're right paintball will never be gone. But don't know about you but i much prefer playing at nice fields with air ball fields and compressed air systems that can fill to 4500 psi... Over Wooden spools and such...

The site is merely a place for players to gather and promote paintball and support paintball as a sport. Not just the game you go and hide in the woods and shot your buddy's. (not that i don't love doing that)

However there used to be 5 fields within 30mins of my house and now i have to drive 2 hours just to get to the close one...

Saying paintball doesn't need help seems ill-founded

Sounds like your area is in trouble economically - not the sport!
We had a few fields go but the best monster field is going well. Its the low rent fields that went bye bye. Seriously grab and extra bushmaster for under 50 and a half case and take somebody new playing if your so worried! Websites liker the one above dont get it, but you can do more by just taking one new person every time you play that that website that no one cares about will ever do.

You're are right taking friends and people to the field is just what we should all do and the very same thing the site promotes...

and take more than just somebody take groups

Don, you crack me up man.... lol

Cool website - interviews with the pros are a good idea - getting ppl interested in what the 'elite' in the game are up to is never a bad idea.

sure, the sport is slowing a bit with the economy, but I wouldn't get all worked up over it. In fact my local fields are having record weekends. That said, a bit of awareness on the subject isn't a bad thing. If I were in the "activist" mode like you I think I might direct my energies to trying to promote pb to the new player. I have organized 5 or 6 pb events for my churches student ministry etc, I know of a few people that I have taken out that decided to make a hobby of it like us.

The best way is to set a good example, talk to the noobs, make them feel like one of the boys,be a good sportsman and give out tips and advice when asked...be approachable.

Yes my dad is in charge of a 100 acre church camp. They always play out there. He was trying to clean up all the broken balls till I told him they melt with the rain. Paintball sure isnt dead in this area either. The equipment of most need upgrading! Maybe I should start a website about that Mr. Green
Help the po boys of paintball - but me 1st no questions - just send money this way!
