I need to remove a straight barb from the body of my fsp to replace it with a 90* barb. It looks like there is a little red loctite slopped around it. Normally, I would just grab a pair of vice grips, but I would think that since brass is so soft, I would just twist the brass in half.

I was thinking of just tapping an easy out into it and backing it out after warming the loctite with a hair dryer or a heat gun.

Any thoughts?

I have removed several out of PM front blocks with just a set of pliers. Try it and see, wordt case you use the ezout on what remains.

I've always used a socket to remove barbs...even ones that are locktited. WGP seemed to locktite barbs alot.

A socket will give you even force on all faces and would help to keep it from shearing off.

Good luck.
