Alright...i get my b2k4 back from greg today with the t2 just installed. i go to air it up and the noid starts leaking...so i back out the lpr all the way...i turn the lpr to 250...and then turn in the lpr until the bolt starts to cock...as soon as i go higher pressure than the minimal amount needed to cock it starts to leak...i didnt have a single problem with my marker until today...and i believe that the problem resides in the rubber thing (i dont know what it is called) that rests between the noid and the manifold. The leak comes from that area...and i have no idea what to do!! Any help will be EXTREMELY appreciated.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A T2 AND NOT THE SAME AS STOCK

Thanks in advance,
Aaron

I think it might be similar to this but that is a stock noid/manifold not a t2.

Hey, have you simply checked to ensure that the solenoid is securely tightened down to the new manifold. Could be simply that the noid is loose and therefore the gasket between the noid and the manifold is not sealing. The other option is that the manifold is loose on the marker body. You'll need to take the frame and "tray" off in order to get to these items, but I'm sure that it one of those two things being loose.

Try that and let us know if it works.

yea i did try that...i took it apart...re-did it...but still a leak...again it cocks back without leaking...but once i start to increase pressure it begins to leak

hrmmm, check your gaskets and orings and make sure there aren't any cuts in them.

Also, just for kick(you can do this with the frame off, reattach your noid with the old manifold and see if you have any leaks.

If you don't have leaks with the stock manifold just send Greg and email and let him know what is going on. If you do have leaks with the stock manifold then i would see about procuring a new gasket.

Just a quick question, if the marker is cocking, why are you turning up your LPR any higher? That should be all the pressure you need. But if it's leaking from between the noid and the manifold that means that your release valve is opening and the noid thinks there is too much pressure coming through. Now with out an LPR gauge you can't really tell if your LPR is not functioning. So I would:
1. remove manifold and re grease the gasket.
- see if that fixes the problem
2. change LPR out with a friend's
- see if that fixes the problem
3. change out the noid with a friend's
- see if that fixes the problem

I usually have 2 bushies so this is never type of problem solving strategy is usually an easy way to go. But if you don't have access to another Bushy you might need to try something else.

P.S.- your sure there isn't a leak between the body and the manifold...right?

Have you actualy narrowed the leak down to the gasket area? Taken the frame off and aired up the gun to see if that's where the leak comes from?

You could also have a bad o-ring on the ram which can allow air past it and make it seem like the noid is leaking.

yea i am sure that the leak is coming from between the noid and the manifold in the gasket area...if any of you are familiar with the t2 you know that instead of using orings greg uses a thin rubber piece that contains holes and is held in by the screws that attach the noid to the manifold. THe only reason i think that this is the issue is because i had NO problems before and i think that the lpr wouldnt just start malfunctioning...

fivestring im going to try your method and see if it works out...but adriann...what do you use to grease the gasket?

I think it could also mean that the gasket isnt sealing up...rightt?

The gasket is the same as the stock Bushmaster one. I believe Greg just uses humphrey manifolds from freestyles or makes his own that are similar to that in his T2 kit.

Marker lube is what you should use if you ever grease the gasket, although I don't see why you ever would. Dow 33 products .

Yeah, demented, good point, the sealing apparatus between the noid and the manifold has always been a gasket regardless of what manifold you have. The gasket is made to go with the noid and the holes line up with the holes on the noid

Are you doing all your adjustments over a chrono? It is very hard to determine things if you aren't using a chrono.

Also, as adrian said, if you are over pressurizing your noid it will trip the releas valve and it is hard to differentiate between this and the gasket point.

Finally if you adjust the lpr exactly as explained in the manual is your marker cycling? I mean, turn it up to leaking then back it out 1/4 of a turn.

Well keep trying you'll get it to work.
