Very cool idea. So for me, when Kori gets teenagery, I'll play Opeth and Dream Theater Wink

Ha! I was thinking a little Nightwish would go a long way. Smile

The number one thing you need is a song and a rocking recliner. Don't laugh, music soothes the savage beast, and that includes pissed off babies. I sang/hummed/whispered "sweet baby james" until I was sick of it, but it helped momma get some sleep. Little known tidbit: if you ingrain a song to be comforting, as they approach their teens, you can use it again to help calm young hotheads.

yup.... soooooooooo true. pick a song and constantly use it to sooth. eventually it will become a trigger. It has worked on both of my little girls. my second is 10 months old now and anytime she starts getting fussy I start humming the ABC's and "most" of the time it calms her.

CONGRATS!!!!!

thanks for the support guys. now as promised, pictures of the guest bedroom:

this is not even all of it. i have the crib and the cradle set up in our room. it is mess because we are reorganizing again this weekend.

people are very generous. catie's little sister's boyfriend and father made us a cradle from scratch. maybe ill post pics of it up later. oh, and the stroller is in the garage.

Yup, thats not even all of it bud. Kids just have so much stuff....especially clothes. They grow so quickly that sometimes you only get to use an outfit once then its too small!!

Next you'll find that your darn fridge is full of formula and such. Then after a year its full of baby food.

The best thing my daughter ever did was become a little kid Very Happy now she just goes to the fridge or pantry and gets what she wants from what we have. Nothing special needed any more....she better just stay away from my beer and get her own!
