haha I've always wondered how stuff like that happens.... just so wierd. Gremlins is one of the best movies ever. Gremlins II however..... not so much.

Was lucky enough to go to the Iron Maiden show on the 4th at Summerfest in Milwaukee. It was one of the best shows I've ever been to. So fun. It was like a 90 minutes heavy metal sing-a-long.

You can't really hear much, but here are a couple of vids. In the first it's Bruce getting the crowd going. Bruce is an awesome front man, that guy has some serious energy.... he never stopped moving and sounded really good for being (I think) almost 50. The second has a 12 ft tall Eddie walking around stage. In the last you can hear Bruce during 'Seventh Son of a Seventh Son', right before the instrumental (which was mind blowing). Any IM fans around here?

Wow, that looks super cool. Not an Iron Maiden fan in any way, but I would love to go to a huge show like that, if only for the experience.

I like a bit of Iron Maiden. I get in the car, put "Run to the hills" on, roll down the windows, and drive.

Awesome. And sing-a-long?

I had a guy next to me at a stop light few weeks ago flash me the 'sign', stick out his tonge, and verbally applaude my IM selection that I had playing. Yeah that doesn't happen very often lol. I usually get people rolling up their windows or that crooked-eye look of, "what the hell is he listening too?"

Huge shows like that are awesome, but at the same time I appreciate small venue shows also.

Saw TOOL at the arena here and it was probably the best concert Ive been to, but I also saw Jurassic5, talib Kweli and several other artists in small venues like celebrity theatre here, it is nice having a small crowd and only being like 10 feet from the artists.

I got up close like that when I saw Underworld and again when I saw The Crystal Method. Those were at the Philmore and the Warfield, respectively. Nice, small venues.

Yes small venues are great. Its cool when you can see the band members faces/reactions/etc... those shows are usually more 'intimate', if you can use that word to describe a heavy metal show... that was one of the great things about the IM show, is that even though it was a big venue, it felt very small.
