I added one of those tiny qd's to my harness. When I plugged in the battery, I mistakenly switched the "+" and "-" and turned on the board.
After a few seconds, the towel the board was laying on began to smoke. Of course, the board won't work anymore. Is there any chance of salvaging this guy or was that a $50 mistake?

I don't know Nox boards but unless there was a fuse or some other circuit protection device, I'd venture to guess it's pretty much toast. Perhaps the board was designed with a high wattage resistor near the power input and ground (however not likely) and just a resistor needs changed. I'm game to look at a schematic.
