ok my gun FIRST wires came out ...got new wireing harness....attached it it worked well. i had to attach it by soldering the solenoid wires to the soldnoid wires from the wireing harness. so i did that then it worked fine. then one solder cam undone so i resoldered it and put some electrical tape to keep it from detaching again. no the gun doesnt even turn on. i havent checked the battery but i will do that like in a few hrs when i get my gun back. could it be the electrical tape...doubt its alled electrical tape(but never know) , or could i have damaged something while re-soldering? or what ...any imput would be appriciated. i checked the wireing diagram at obdo.net to make sure that the wires are in the right places...got scolded cuz i didnt say that before. so...could it be the problems mentioned before or did the resolder not go correctly(could be) or did i screw the gun to hell?

well did you try to desoldier the wires before you re-soldiered them? You should have cut and re stripped the wires before you re did them that way you have fresh wires. Also for the inside of your gun do the quick disconnect mod, cheap, easy and will save you hellova lot of trouble.

One last thing is to use heat shrink wrap instead of electrical tape, it holds better, looks better and is stronger.

Check your battery too.

It might be that something on the harness like the power switch was not soldered on correctely, go over and check every thing on wiring harness again. Or it could be a worst case scenario and the actual connector pins on the board it self. At any rate, ICD is pretty good about the warrenty. Just send it to them that they will take care if every thing with no charge if your warrenty is still good, and they send things back in a very timely order.

ok i think i found out that the wireing harness is the bad thing. i fond my old wireing harenss (one the gun came with)and was messing around and hooked a battery up to it and then the board, then to my surprize when i turned it on the LED lit up. ok so i know that board works now. cuz thwn i pushed the microswitch the LED flashed. but now i hope that my solenoid is ok cuz the wireing harness was bad. i heard that if u dont use rison core stuff to solder wires together it can screw all the electronics its touching up.ya and as u know. my solenoid wires were touching it, and thw wireing harness. but i REALLY hope it didnt do nething to it. well wut else could i do before i take it to my local pball store to fix. its gnna be like 30$ for wireing harness and extra for their "precious" labor, which always seems like alot. and if the solenoid is screwd i'llhave to get that too....another 50. so i'm then up to 80$+ easy. rather not pay more than 30 for this. ne help could be appriciated.
and the board is the new icd 25bps board(jus found it online)
