I took a leave of absence from the paintball scene awhile back. In fact I probably have an account here that I forgot the username/password/e-mail for. Pulled my bushy out of storage. All seems well except the eyes weren't working. I found that when pushing the eyes further into the breech (to the point that the bolt would hit them they worked. I put in brand new batteries so i think the eyes just went bad, or some residual paint seeped into the plastics.

Here are pics of the parts. The defunct eyes quick disconnect which was nice. Come to think of it I think the custom harness is a Spitlebug product? hmmm.

Well if anyone can tell me where to get replacements, i'd like to order a couple of sets of the eyes. pics:

Might be easier just to pick up a couple used ICD PDS harnesses here in the BST. The quick disconnects can be retrofitted by you w/ a soldering iron.

As far as you're eyes not working, I'm not sure. You say they work when pushed further into the body? Maybe they are not aligning properly. It might be worth it to hop over to Intimidator Owners group and pick up a couple sets of Alias eyes from Crankwalk. They are reasonibly priced and allow for 20 degree misalignment. They already have QD's on them so you might have to pick up the matching QD's from a used Alias eye harness and solder those to your Bushmaster harness.

i cant solder. I mean I try, but it always comes apart. Ill trade pretty good kit for some of these.

Im pretty sure they arent misaligned. I aligned em by hand till they work (sticking into the breach) then slowly pull em back. The beam breaks at a distance far from the distance set by the plastic eye mount and in fact, with the eyes still in the path of the bolt.

Ill check out the IOG see if maybe sirstunnalot did work for them too.

pm me if you just need someone to fix it. I'm sure we could work something out. You could also have a bad solder joint that has corroded over the years. When you push it into the breach it might be also pressing on the joint completeing the circuit. These eyes usually don't work intermittenly...usually if they are bad they are just bad and need replacing. your description leads me to think bad connection. that's my 2 cents.

well if by fix u mean i can buy some off you. TBH I'm only going to lightly pursue this. I can just set the chaos board for a 14 or 15 bps cap and use a Halo B.

Sirstunnalot hasn't been seen for a long long long time.

The eyes from IOG will have to be soldered so that won't likely work.

I say send your harness to Crash. He's a wiz and likely can fix it for you.
