Is the quest is autococker threaded?

I watched the TechPB video. Interesting watch. I thought it was funny that he mentioned he thought that the trigger was designed by Critical. Looking at it I thought the same thing Very Happy

If that trigger is anything like a Critical trigger then it is far superior to most anything on the market today. I've had critical triggers on most of my intimidators and they are terrific.

Now, the weight. He weight that quest in at almost 3 pounds. Ouch. That is pretty darn heavy when you consider it is a solid pound heavier than most current guns. Frankly there is alot of meat on the quest that could be taken off. As compared to a FS they may be about the same. My AB FS was not heavy at all but my FS7 is. Simply goes to show how milling a bunch of unneeded metal off changes the weight dramatically.

The bolt. Wow that was pretty cool. At a glance it kind of reminded me of a Threshold bolt or even an early variant of a G3 bolt. Any working diagrams of the bolt? I'd like to see.

You've definitely caught my attention on this one Don. I won't be running out and buying one today but if I decide to get another gun in the coming months it may very well be a Quest.

Thanks for the honest information.
Nick

Everybody who has ever held mine thought it was light. Even Steve thought the same thing holding one at the shop across the usa. I think it has to do with the way the marker is balanced or the angle of the grip. It doesn't pull on your hand with everything attached. Or maybe its because we are used to ICD. Mr. Green

Fep is supposed to re-form and come out with a new marker. Do I care no. I'm much too cheap to buy a new quest at $750 from critical, let alone anything new and lighter (the Quest had a retail of $950!). So I'm very happy with mine for $160 and its 2lbs 11 oz.

The bolt is super simple. Look at the guide the air comes from the rear, flows through the slots in the bolt fills the dump chamber then as the bolt moves further forward those same slots allow the air out of the dump chamber and into the breach.
The one thing I am waiting for FEP to come out with is the new bolt and guide! Much more refined aero wise! They are really close to releasing this - yes it will probably cost almost as much as what I paid for the whole marker!

Those pictures are from before the luxe came out. They have two working markers that never made it to production.
