Have an RX and I will not shoot any other poppet valve marker. The only reason it doesn't get much use is because I cannot get past how smooth spoolies shoot so my Freestyles remain my primary markers.

Looks like the Borg will have to wait for now. I just bought this Quest on ebay, the price seemed reasonable. I hope i made the right decision.

What's the reason why you picked the FS7 over the FS8 or 05 Freestyle? While i own a couple of Freestyles i am not up on the subtle differences between each model and curious why someone would pick one over the other. Thanks.

I like the fs7s with HR1 / BFD bolt kits. I feel they are the smoothest out of all styles ive shot. I also dislike windows in the bolt area. playing in sand sometimes its a pain when grains of sand get into the windows and you try to remove the bolt without having access to a compressor to blow the windows out first.

Now sure, they made a short run of old gen HR1 kits. But the volume of the old bolt chambers are smaller then the FS7. The pull pin design makes for easy bolt removal. crcb noid is a high pressure solenoid and is capable of very high rates of fire. these are the same noids in the 06 cyborgs that have shot upwards of 30+ bps.

I feel the fs7 is lighter then the older gen styles as well. I never noticed a difference is weight holding the fs7 compared to the fs8. then again both my fs7's have feather weight milling. and the KNUTEC had alot of weight taken off it as well. Rocky and Raymond called this extream 3d milling.

dont get me wrong. my girlfriend loved her fs8 and i enjoyed shooting it as well. they are very solid markers and easily maintained. theres just something about my 2 particular FS7's that i believe set them apart from most of the other freestyles ive had my hands on (and ive owned my share of styles thats for sure)

maybe this is why i like them so much

Thanks for the insight. I'm trying to really get into the Freestyles but currently have been only able to get the 05 NDFS working properly. I'm still trying to get the FS8 up and running. I have yet to use the NDFS in a day of play, only then will i know if they will be a part of my paintball gear bag.
I like how spoolies shoot but the 06 Ego has been the most trouble free of the markers i use. I still want to pick up a 06 or 07 Borg, it's just that i was able to find the Quest first.

Thanks again.

I currently own my fourth cyborg rx I honestly think they are the best shooting gun I have ever owned. I'm a huge timmy guy and I like it better than my ripper and all my other timmy's I've ever owned. I've never been much of one for PE and I think it out perform's any ego. Definitely pick one up if you're curious to try out one
