went to the gunshow saturday. was looking for a pocket .380 for deep concealability. was thinking about the ruger LCP but then i stumbled on this little gem...

Has a built in laser sight for added "cool" factor. Smile
Sorry, I was just a little excited so I thought I'd share.

What the hell does it need a laser sight for???? not like you can hit anything outside of 20 feet with something that short anyway.....

So what is it? Have you tried it yet?

Those aren't your mangled mitts are they?

It's a S&W Bodygaurd .380 ACP. It holds 6+1. The laser sight is just plain cooool. Smile Seriously though the Laser is more paractical than one might think at first. It is dead nuts on target up to 30 feet at least as accurate as the fixed sights. The laser wasn't intended for long range accuracy(neither was the gun for that matter)just quick from-the-hip target acquisition. Under 30 feet it will get you to within 3" of impact and the group reduces as the range closes. I can barely hit the paper at 20 feet quick drawing from the hip without a laser....with it, the gun becomes far more deadly in a pressure situation. Not to mention having the little red dot on you can be a serious deterrent to some, possibly meaning you never have to pull the trigger.

It's small enough to fit in my front pocket and when pocketed the bulge is easily no more than a common smartphone. List on this little heater is $575 but i picked it up at the show for $450. Still more expensive than compareable .380 pocket pistols but worth it when you consider the S&W quality and added features. Most good lasers will set you back $200+ and are not integrated into the frame.

^^Not my mangled mits in the picture...just a pic i pulled off the web.

Just make sure to get one with a serial beginning with EAB or later, EAC, EAD etc.... stay away from the EAA serial pistols. They had problems with the takedown lever poping out and leaving the slide on the ground. They fixed those levers in the EAA pistols but i still wouldn't trust a 1st gen pistol with my life. This is the 1st year for the BG pistols so the early models hadn't had the "bugs" worked out yet.
