Since this thread originally had something to do with hoppers, I'm gonna let cha finish...

Monteel Designs Icon Z-1 with Indian Springs Maxi loader

Moving back to finishing, I would like to see a hopper with an auger style feed device in action. But still, it would seem to me that a cone would be faster than an auger. I would think to reach 30bps, that auger(s) would be rotating a fairly high rpm compared to a cone style paddle. I dunno, it's all jes speculatin' nohow.

I saw a vid of it in action, looked pretty fast. But I also reckon there is a reason there are not many auger loaders.

Well for about $30 smackers more you can buy a rotor and not have people look at funny for owning a fasta looking thing. Not that it matters to me much because when the kids ask me what the heck I'm using when I blow away their EGO or GEO it makes me laugh. I usually tell them that it is a weapon from a more civilized age. They look at me funny and go off playing.(side note. for those of you who are not geeks like me this was a Star Wars reference.)

My first was a Drgun TES. Converted it to a Drugun The One two months after I bought it for $20. Then it was to the B2K4 and then the reign of my three NDFS took off. Just recently acquired the Diablo Mongoose II that I tried to sell.

i will admit that i had a BE Talon, but the older one, not the ghost, and used it for one game and moved on to an overpriced, i.e. i got hella ripped off, Tippmann Carbine. i still have the carbine, sort of. its in NM where a friend was going to work on it, but its now gone for almost 7 years.

to me, i love my Halos(one has a Cheetah board and still have my original 12 volt Revy- going strong for 11 years now), and i really feel that most loaders need to survive a year, till the players go through it and find the problems that they didn't think it had. even then, most are gimmicks in order to separate the player from his money.

look at warp feeds and q loaders. they have all the capabilities that paint sprayers, 30bps capable guns, but they are vacant from the tourney scene. so what does that tell you?

Im not in the mood to go through the pages to see if this has been brought up, so if it has sorry just disreguard this post. But turns out ANS has had the 800 JRNY's sitting in crates for 2 years. The sale of NXE to Tippmann finally gave NXE the money they needed to actually have them out on the market. Just a little tid-bit.

so now the question is, who would buy one, knowing that there is no support(even with the sale, there is no definite chance that Tippmann would produce it, or warranty it, if NXe were a separate entity), now the brand new loaders are 2 years old, and the let down stemming from the 2 year delay.

First gun was a walmart brass eagle Blade, the older ones, then another walmart special, the brass eagle Marauder

Finally wised up, and set myself up with a brand new Spyder E99, Revvy, Barrel kit and 20 oz, I used it a bit for renegade

Eventually I got a real job and got a Custom Dealywind Karta Emag, Halo, 68/45 and the rest is a history of Emags, Xmags, Vikings, Egos, Borgs, and more Mags, lol

As far as loaders, the halos and magnas are 50 bucks now, I have had a Rotor since they were released and I love it

Not a Prophecy fan, too complicated..

I used to be big into Halos before, aftermarket drive cones, Cheetah boards, eyes, custom RIP drives, but after I got my Rotor, I sold em all

If anything, id buy a few JRNY's and part them out, and when people need parts, id be the only one with parts Smile $$$$$$$$$$$

myself and a buddy actually contiplated it for a couple hours the other day...lol

then we decided it wasnt worth the risk, the coolness factor isnt there with the JRNY and we would be sitting o the stock forever if it flopped
