That's the capacitor that you need to run the pancake solenoid. It sits there and holds enough charge to trip it.

Oh, so that wouldn't work so well in a mech>electro build. Geez, I didn't even know those electro Spyders had noid's in them. I had taken apart a Viewloader EMX-1000 one time and it had a big metal cylinder in a similar location to that capacitor. I thought the cylinder had something to do with catching and releasing the ram/hammer/whatever, but that was a while ago. It did have those two buttons on the back of the grip located in the same place as that Tadao board, so I thought it might be interchangeable.

There's a good chance that' what it was, the operate nearly the exact same way as a spyder; just some different placement inside the grips.

Got the board today. To start with, this appears to be the VS board, which may cause problems...

www.spyder.tv/section/..._board.pdf

The battery connection is backwards. I will have to flip the wires in the connector.

The switch connector has three prongs, and my marker has two, I'm not certian how to fix that issue yet. It seems the top prong does nothing. if i connect the two lower prongs, the solenoid will trip. I found out i can still stuff the switch connector on the bottom two and it will both stay in place as well as fire; great success!

poop. I am glad I held off then. AV really should have put that in the listing.

I should probably just look around for a part out on pbn.
