Anyone got an ion eye wire on the tool bench? The ion I got does not have one.
Thanks,
Nick

Lemme take a look at what I have. I think I have one that might need a little love.
If it is beyond repair or gone, there is a guy on pbn who has a million ion everythings and I will find his thread and link you to it.

Damn. I basically just got shut down. It looks like I threw that eye wire away.
And I can't find the guy who had the piles of ion stuff or he sold it all. You could find a set pretty easily on pbn. Ions get parted out all the time.
How good are your soldering skills? I have a pair of red laser eyes that came out of a lucky body. They are pinched in two places, but if you have some spare wire to patch in, you could use them. They plug into the stock ion harness. I can just send them to you if you like.

I just recently learned that the ion eyes that go into a lucky body dont fit on a stock body. Just a fyi.

Ok, the lucky eyes fit the breech, but the wires do not slide into the body. The stock eye board is connected after the internals are slid into the body. I think if you cut a channel through the body for the wires to go through, it would work.
BUT now I see what JT was talking about. the eyes are too long for the breech. When they are all the way in, they poke way into the breech. Maybe with considerable shimming, it would work.
Well, fivestring, if you want me to send them to you, let me know. They are just gathering dust in my box.
