Doing some work on my bachelor's thesis tonight. Many old newspapers have been scanned and are search-able on the interwebs. I thought this one was pretty funny, so, without any further ado, for your reading pleasure:

Sausalito News, Volume 37, Number 28, 9 July 1921

JURY IS ACCUSED OF ABSORBING EVIDENCE

Waukegan, 111.—It took a Jury twenty hours to decide that Joseph Hoffman, proprietor of a summer hotel at Fox lake, was guilty of violating the prohibition law When they retired to the jury room the jurors took with them the evidence three quarts of bonded whiskey and one quart of port wine. When the jurors finally emerged from their deliberations they were stepping high and wide. "You have a verdict, gentlemen?" queried Judge P. L. Persons. "You shald sum'pn, yeah indeed " was the response.

A bailiff was dispatched to salvage the "evidence." it had dwindled to a teaspoonful.

"If there had been less evidence a verdict would have been reached more quickly," commented the Court sadly. '

There are sometimes mistakes in the text as it converts the pdf to text. If you want to actually read it off the news paper, here is the link

So I know nobody is going have an idea of what you're going to say in your reply, but what is the focus of your bachelor's thesis?

I gotta work on some other homework, but I will post up about it later. I might even post my paper when I am done.

The focus of my paper is the resistance of the California Wine Industry to prohibition before and after prohibition took effect.

There are a few things I hope to cover (nut shell, or a grape skin if you will):
-publications aimed against prohibition before the fact. This includes news papers, pamphlets, government documents.
-products created so that homeowners could ferment their own wine
-grape boom that occurred as a result of the home fermentation. This will include the alicate grape which creates a lousy wine, but the grape ships really well.
-illegal sales and consumption of medicinal/sacramental wine

I found that article when I was searching through the California newspaper database. I thought it was really funny, so I first printed it even though it does nothing for my paper. Then, I posted it here because it is fun to share funny things.

Speaking of which, seriously Rudz, when is it gonna be done?

I finally got air, and I briefly aired it up and it seemed fine, didn't chrono it, threw it in the bag and later I went to shoot it, and set the regs and it wouldn't shoot, but the led was on when I got it out of the bag.soooo idk how long it was on...led turns on. Noid clicks but won't fire, I'm guessing the battery is drained, since idk how long it was on inside the bag

Gonna get a new 9v and try it again
