ok, i had a problem w/ my HPR creeping, so i stripped it down and applied grease to the o-rings, the outside of the piston, and cleaned the seat off.

So i lube it all up fine, and put the reg back on and hook up the bottom line. I gas it up and nothing happens. bolt doesnt cock back, but I can still hear the gas going into the marker. the gauge shows 0 psi. I try turning up my HPR and still nothing. I checked all my fittings, made sure everything was in tight, and still nothin.

I took off the HPR to make sure I put it back together right and i'm positive it's in there right.

assuming that it worked correctly at one time, I would say that you definitely assembled it wrong. For the input pressure to sit at 0 you must have it assembled to the point where there is no adjustment being made as you turn the screw. Check the spring and/or reg seat and make sure nothing is binding.

ok tell me, does the seat go below or above the spring? and does it matter which side it's on? like should the part with the little bump face up or what? i've tried all different combinations and still get nothing.

what reg are you using? If it's a stock reg do a search here or if its aftermarket try searching the manufacturer or pbn for an exploded view of the reg internals.

Theres a breakdown of an older style stock reg on my site that someone posted. They all pretty much have the same internal concept so it may help you out. Heres the link.

yeah it's the 2004 model stock reg. i've searched everywhere for a breakdown of it.

i just want to know if i have it in the right order, from top to bottom. it goes piston, then seat, then metal spring, right?

hey thanks, i figured out what was wrong.

when i took it apart, the little allen screw that locks the velocity adjuster in place had backed out a little bit. apparently it has to be screwed in almost all the way. bleh.

reg is still creeping though Sad

is the gun/regs new? If so, they may need a couple cases of break in. I just bought a Matrix LCD and the velocity creeps after several games. I have chalked it up to being new and not broken in.

your cup seal could be dirty or damaged and letting a small leak that can cause that.

thanks guys, but i've tried everything. I cleaned off the entire inside of the reg, lubed it up and everything.

it still creeps. I just bought a CP reg on friday and so far it's working wonders for me.

Anyone know if I can send in my stock reg to ICD so they can fix it? I might not need it, but I still want it to work.
