So, to all those dudes who know what is good for them, What are you doing for your wife, mother, baby-mama, woman who tolerates your expensive hobbies, etc for mother's day?

For all you guys who don't know what is good for them, you better get on it, otherwise you are about to get burned.

Full disclosure: I am looking for good ideas. If I learned anything in college, it is that it is not plagiarism if I put a footnote at the end.

I got burned last year because I was not informed that a pregnant woman needed something for mother's day. I was reminded of this in the last month (with a warning), even though the Constitution of Men states that anything that a man did wrong more than a month in the past is inadmissible.

I am thinking a framed picture of our daughter with a block of tasty fudge. Maybe truffles instead. Maybe both.

Gauge your woman. If I bring chocolate/candy/any kind of fattening food as a gift, I am in deep hoohah. She also has listened to Dmitri Martin's bit on "here's some flowers. Watch them die, you're next. Better put your feet in water."
My wife likes gobs of cheap, gaudy jewelry. She's got a shoebox full of multicolored plastic rings/bracelets/necklaces. I ain't buying anymore of that crap.

Whatever you give the women in your life, be sure it makes them feel beautiful, needed and loved.

A good series of gifts for my wife has been the Pandora Charm bracelet. there are other brands as well, but this is the name I can remember.

A bit pricey, but you can pick charns to go with the occasion as well.

It has been my saving grace for a couple of years now.

Most importantly, stay away from what you want to do on Sunday, and spend the day with her. listen to her attentively. make her breakfast. Love her and her kids.

Proflowers is so simple and it is always nice. They always come with a vase. The only thing some people don't like is that the recipient has to put the arrangment in the vase. I have yet to have any complaints though. Sent 100 blooms to mom delivered for $35.

My siblings and I bought Mom a trail GPS for geocaching. Parents like to hike to its perfect for them!
