I'm not going to rant, but just never let someone who doesn't know what they are doing run a near vintage 24 channel Peavey mixer. Bad things will happen.

I had someone ruin mine too. Ended up having to scrap it, and the PA system it was with. ***holes.

never have that problem, my little mixer has a tazer wired to it, if you pick it up, it pulls the wire, which pulls the trigger... no plastic.

although, it gets horrible feedback when its not on a padded serfice.

Not even my board, just one that I caretake/tech when available. It's a wonderful setup. Probably in my top five as far as clean pure sound. Mackie amps and four Peavey BW cabs suspended from the ceiling. JBL monitors, SM58s for vocals, 57s for instruments, AKGs flown over the stage, AudioTechnica wireless lapels and some old japanese perimeter nics. For a community theater company, you can make some crazy sound. The local peavey repair joint is going to look at it next week, hopefully they can save it.

not a clue as to anything you said, mentioned or are plain talking about. this is just a post count increase. Smile

but, i will say this, regardless of what ever it is, when idiots ruin something that they should be messing with is wrong and should be taken out back and beaten with a bar of soap in a sock until the sock is worn out.

Didn't we discuss socks and soap in the OT thread? I found that quarters in a sock tends to wear the sock out pretty quick.

Generally, I avoid loaning things.

Back when I was big into my bands, I would never loan out anything. Paintball stuff, sure, but not a bass, or amps.

What exactly happened?

when i run sound NOBODY enters my domain. and i wont run it if idiots have been on it....i find crap tweaked all to hell when i come back and somebody been jacking my board. i think...."what monkey thought THIS sounded good?!?!?" stinking jokers... It's also why i got a wireless guitar setup so I could play from the booth during rehearsals and setup the sound. then another guy would come in and mainain it for the duration of the performance.
