This bill would require, except as specified, every BB device and
imitation firearm that appears to be a handgun that has a barrel less than
16 inches in length to have the entire exterior surface of the device
white, bright red, bright orange, bright yellow, bright green, bright blue,
bright pink, or bright purple, either singly or as the predominate color
in combination with other colors in any pattern, or be constructed of
transparent or translucent materials that permit unmistakable observation
of the device’s complete contents.
This bill would make the provision imposing a civil fine on the sale,
manufacture, transportation, receipt, or distribution of imitation
firearms for commercial purposes applicable to BB devices.

Many of us in Cali don't like the laws here,,, but like it or not.. Laws in Cali have a way of migrating to mainland Smile Even if you don't live here.... You can still contact our senators and let them know how you feel.

Here's a means for Californians contacting their senators: California State Senate

Senators | Senate Internet

For those interested, here's a Facebook group opposed to bill: No On SB 798

No On California SB 798 - Wall | Facebook

This makes me want to coat all my real firearms in pink!

Well, this is dumb. I am not re-anodizing my gear. I will be writing a letter to my senator and telling all my paintball friends to do the same.

Besides, these bills/laws never end up passing.

Yeah. I thought about it for a while. It would be very difficult to enforce and regulate. It is not like they could apply it retroactively. And private party sales? Good luck.

And no. No 16" barrels. I would rather a 14" or a 12".

The logic is bulletproof because there are no guns that have barrels longer than 14 inches.

The bill passed the state senate.
