mal went to the new Harry Potter movie!

For those who might be thinking about renting Cedar Rapids, don't do it.

Oh, and I finished reading True Grit. The Coen brothers deviated from the novel a little bit in the middle and unfortunately, due to their plot manipulations, they did not include this little piece of dialogue from the book.

"Here is LaBoeuf, the famous horse killer from El Paso. He means to put all criminals on foot. He says it will limit their mischief."

Actually, I just got back from it. I did not get a Dark Knight Rise trailer, but I did get a trailer for Tintin, which makes me excited.

Do we really need another final destination movie?

I saw the teaser trailer for the Dark Knight last night on the internets.

teaser for "Amazing Spider-man" looks promising...but I am a spidey fan.

Watched "Repo Men" on DVD last night...ok movie til the end...epically crappy ending.

premise:
in the dark future people who need organ transplants get them from a mega company called "the union"a manufactuer of artificial cybornetic organs or "Artiforgs"(Artificial organs) or sometimes they call them "forgs". The catch is they finance the organs at incredibly high intrest rates and when a recipient falls 3 months behind on payments the send a "repo man" to reclaim the property...usually causing the demise of the individual. Jude Law is the best Repo man the Union has until he grows a concience, then you can just guess what happens. also stars Forrest Whitaker.

kinda cool plot/premise...lots of blood etc. but a crap ending. although if you like blood/guts, action and Jude Law and get the opportunity to watch it for free and have nothing better to do i'd reccomend it.

It looked pretty darn silly. I like Jude Law, but the premise of the movie did not grab my attention.

However, THIS has me quite interested.

I saw harry potter too, but iv'e never seen any other movie or read the books, so it was decent, but i'm sure a lot of things were lost on me.

My girlfriend is really into it and she seemed pretty disappointed.

I saw a preview for the rise of the planet of the apes. The start of it looked very promising and I was excited, but then it began to swirl into ridiculousness pretty quickly.
