btw, i was thinking of picking up another cheaper marker when my returns get here(really need to plan out that cash =P) anyway as far as DM's go, what price range should I be lookin at for a decent price on a DM6 or DM7? and is there a model year I should be lookin for specifically?

I really have no experience with Dye markers.

don't get a DM6. the eye ribbons suck and it was the only year with them. DM7 has the eye pipe(or at least retro fitted with it but can still take standard sized regs. the DM8 had the first undersized vert adapter for the new Hyper 3. other than the DM6 go with one that you like. even though they are oring dependent, they aren't that bad in maintainance, just dependent on lube. great shooters.

If I were to get any DM, it would either be a dm9 (they can be had for like $400, or a STDM5. I only say the stdm5 because it gets rid of the flow plug, and still has all that older dm goodness. The dm9 is an actual marker that you can use, and has all the goodies. Shoots great.

I would never get another dm8. I have literally owned every iteration of the matrix, except the dm11 and 12, and the 7 and 8 were my least favorite.

hm, good info.

I will probably stick to other markers then for now. If I am going to finally drop $400 or more on a marker I want to go with a marq. I think Ill keep an eye out for a cheap PM and then save up for something nice for a change.
