B2K4 an air hogg

I just purchased a B2K4, and right off, with a little trigger work, I am in love... (don't tell the wife). I know it is new and there may be some breaking in to do, and that is fine. But out of the box, she is sucking the air in a big way...
Can I expect this to change, or should I start looking to upgrade.

Running at 275psi and shooting at 250fps consistantly. I will tune it, but not in a hurry untill enough shots run through her.

I had teh same prob when i got my 03 i dkn if it is the same thing but yes ur right just gas it up and shoot it a lot and eventually it will even out but just for performance i would get some Macdev regs

Also i noticed u played at Cjs i play there also, this will be my teams first tourney

We are changing tournament series this month, so you won't catch me there. Tired of the crap you have to put up with there. Don't listen to me, go and have a good time. What division are you playing? I'll give you some tips.

are you shooting with or without paint.. if your shooting without paint then yeah itss going to suck up air because there is no back pressure. if you where shooting with paint then you need to break in the regs and also tune them properly that should help.

Right now, I'm going through about 200 rounds per 500 psi. During a 5 man game I expect to shoot that much.
I expect that once I tune it up, we will probably save some there, and I am not really concerned because she is new.
I'm planning on changing out the regs in month or so...

Were pretty new were not Matrix were Matrix Jr. they just help us a lot so we decided to name it Jr,

i play back and shoot a 2k3 bush , theres pics in the coopermine if u wanna look

Also iv heard of other teams quiting the division

I Play in the Black River Tournament Series under various team names LOL.

Hey Phil, Once you break it in, if you are still not pleased with the air effiecency of your b2k4 then you can also look at replacing the Valve with a vapor valve, or maybe get a new LPR.

I have a Modified LPR from GregICD and I run my reg around 190-200psi and 270FPS +/- 2fps I just bought a CP reg this week so that should make a big difference too. My next upgrade will be a vapor valve Smile

how about setting your regs right 275 psi is high.
