PostPosted: Fri Jun 08, 2012 7:11 pm    Post subject: Re: Freestyle FS-7 Help

ok, so i got the right o-rings today (Thanks Peters!!) and it is much harder to put in then the buna ones. with the marker i got the original parts kit and it included one of these o rings (not in buna) and when i went to put it in, it broke on me. i don't want the same thing to happen to these new ones, anyone have tricks on putting these in?

Thanks in advance.

**Edit: i also have no air, but will be at a field tomorrow (all day air pass) so i can try some other stuff then.

They are a real pain in the but to get in. You have to stretch them a bit in the process of putting them on. Try warming them up a bit? I usually end up taking the valve pin out, but the valve pin is supposed to be loctited in.

The poly rings are a pain to get on I broke one on mine too. You have to be pretty careful. I use a little lube and an allen or a blunt punch to push it on the stem. Just don't nick it or you'll have to do it all over again.

The bigger orings are .017 viton that I used on the bolt and the guide(inside) to reduce friction.

Glad they got there so quick.

well, the valve pin is loctited in, how should i go about taking it out? or how would i go about warming the o ring up? microwave, or steam from boiling water, may be heat it in water?

I put one of the bigger o rings on the inside and almost feels better when i move it by hand. im glad they got here quick too. i am hopefully going to play tomorrow, and its been too long sence the freestyle has been used.

The only way I would think of heating it up would put it in a cup if warm water for a minute. I've never done it but it's probably be the safest way.

Maybe someone here could chime in on that.

HPR piston o-ring. Don't know what size it is off the top of my head, but it's darn close to a tank o-ring, either an 014 or 015.

015, preferably urethane. But buna will work for a bit.

awesome thanks guys. also another thing, i think i may have blown the solenoid or something, but when i pull the trigger with a ball in chamber, it blinks but dosen't shoot (using a different reg) and same thing with eyes off.

any ideas? i did recently adjust the trigger pull, to make it longer, could that have done it?

thanks for all the help guys, i appreciate it sooo much.
