I have a chance to pick up a fully functioning mini-mag w/level10 bolt for about 150. Is that a good price. Don't have any other info on it though. Looks okay, Prob a 7/10 bodywise.

yeah, that's about the going rate. pics would be helpful but find out all the parts like, trigger frame, vert, on/off(not the ASA, but the internal on/off). i wouldn't worry about the cosmetics, as AGD when they built the valves, well they made them out of stainless steel and they will basically last longer on this earth than you or i.

Cool. It was an obo and the guy took 130. He was pretty pleased. Has a two week ago vid of it shooting. He says he needs beer money for the 4th next month and hasn't really played in a while. He has a really nice DM8 or something like that. He said that is the one he uses anyway. Now I just need to learn the ins and outs. Sounds like more fun for me. hehehehe.
So happy Father's day was around the corner.

mags are dirt simple. if the L10 is set(air it up then stick a pen cap before you stick something important in there) then there really isn't much you need to do. every so often, throw some oil in it(auolube, KC trouble-free) and the leak goes away. i haven't changed an oring in about 8 years in my mag.

AO has a good info, BEO has that plus a lot more.

if i can't help you, then Rudz will tell you more. he likes to sit and talk to Tuna and go over mags when he comes out to the right cost.

i will tell you, the weight is misleading, but its as solid as an anvil and solid in that, a FS shoots similar but the the Mag is so much better/different. its a Mag.

Well here it is. I don't have it yet but I picked up this pic from the seller. I don't think it comes w/ the huge drop cradle thing so I will have to rerun the air but I think I can make due.

Wow I started looking at AO and a few other Automag sites and wow they are pretty amazing.

going off the pic, that's not a minimag. minimags have that "machinegun shroud" body, but that's just for looks. mechanically, they are the same with mags. it looks like you have either a Dye or Benchmark single trigger frame, which is good(i loved the stock frame, but a 45 is better), a vert and either a "dial-a-welt" or a velocity lock on the back of the valve.

does it have or is it coming with the L10 kit? that is the only upgrade that you truly need. everything else is mainly for looks(though you can say that the ULE body being cocker threaded, vert feed and angel detents is a must/need), whether its the body, rail, vert asa or frame. if it doesn't, get it. it is truly amazing, since its the only mechanical anti-chop out there(there might be others, but i have yet to see any vids of people putting their tongue's against those and coming out unscathed, there are plenty for the AGD L10 and i've done it myself). you do loose a bit of efficiency but the anti-chop more than makes up for it.

also, mags run the golden rule for air consumption: 10 shots per cubic in at 3000psi, 15 shots per cubic in at 4500psi.

if anything, don't hesitate to ask me or Rudz about them and have fun with it when you get it. i've had mine for 14 years and it will never leave me.

Yes, it does come with a l10 bolt. Mini or not to me it doesn't really matter but that is good to know thank you. I played with a Mag back in 2000 or 01 and have wanted one ever since.

I looked at the ULE bodies and I just don't think I could really spring for one. Would be nice to have one barrel system for all but I kind of like the look of this.

This will probably be the marker I retire with. I am not to great at working on them anymore. I lost my touch somewhere last year when I couldn't find the leaks in my NDFS7 and my Lasoya PM. I just can't hear well enough anymore to pinpoint. My hands are starting to get arthritic to so frustration sets in when I am taking the small bolts out and halfway through a 1" screw I have to stop and rub the hands to get the blood flowing again.

Really sucks that when you are younger you don't think about your body wearing out at only 35. That’s what 1 year of Football, 3 years of Cross-country, 4 years of track, 20years of playing the drums and multiple marathons, and driving a truck for 8 years will do for you.
Never thought I would have it this bad but man things went downhill fast. lol

Thanks again
andrew
