I nearly moved to Australia 4 years ago when Obama was elected, because I figured things could only get worse. I wish I would have listened to myself back then. But hey, I finished up school finally and I can start looking for a real job now...if i can find one.

the thing is no one can get anything done unless they have the rest of the government with them, Clinton had almost 8 years most of which he has a majority democratic congress and enough votes in senate to get things passed, and guess what, the national debt was reduced to the point we almost had a surplus, then bush gets in and due to his tax policies and still haveing a contradicting government around him built us up to one of the highest levels of debt again in 8 short years....

Unfortunately for Obama he has a democratioc congress for the first 2 years he was in office but not enough votes in the senate to get many major things done, so he concentrated on one thing and pushed hard and got it done, it is unfortunate almost half the country doesnt like Obama care as it was the one thing he could get done before congress wnet back to red majority and he couldn't get them to pass anything going forward, which of course helps them get a Rep president elected the next term cause they can fall back on saying he didnt get anything done, which was true since they shot stuff down.

As I mentioned earlier it is sad it ends up this way for both sides usually, hard to get a majority in all areas which is the only time you can really get stuff done. If Romney had just given us his actual plan to reduce the debt while also lower taxes I might have jumped ship this year, but I could get over his diversion every time he was aksed what his actual plan was. I hope whichever one gets into office this year can at least get one more major thing done in their term and it benefits the country across the board......talk about a lot to live up to.

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congress and Senate fell to Republican control in 1994!!!! and during the 1997 re-election of Clinton the Republicans maintained control of the House and added a few seats to the Senate. How did they lower deficit? LESS SPENDING and Raising TAXES, Taxes that were cut under Bush, which mind you was a good thing until we went to war against Terrorists. Ultimately we need to cut federal funding, lower paychecks to elected officials, cut the 2000+ page bloat obama care, pull our troops out of the rest of the world and lower taxes. During Clinton they did just that, with a Dem Pres and Rep House and Senate.

Obama pushed that lame ass health care bill through which is basically just a tax hike, its already causing health care provider problems(my wife works for lovelace), and its filled with bloat.

And who in their right mind would vote for a party full of people that PASSED A BILL INTO LAW WITHOUT READING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which is the LARGEST TAX EVER IN AMERICAN HISTORY!!!!! seriously, seriously, seriously?

So, you moving to Mexico?

Let me ask this tho, if Romney was elected and he lowered taxes like he said he would what was the plan to decrease the national debt?

I think there were unanswered items on both sides and hope Obama can make a few more majorly positive moves in his second term, he has a lot on his plate and needs to do everything he can in this upcoming term.

First off what majorly positive moves did Obama make the first term? Obama care is pragmatic at best wrought with ******** that has nothing to do with health care and the changes they made all the while telling us its not tax was then declared as a tax.

Secondly you ask what Romney would do for the debt yet you fail to recognize what Obama has done to increase it more than ALL of the other presidents before him combined!

Lastly I live in New Mexico which I knew was going Obama, too many Yahoos around here to make an intelligent choice and way too many people getting cheques for doing nothing. So with that in mind I voted for Gary Johnson who listed a Clear plan for Jobs, Debt, War, and Health Care. He has a proven track record as the Gov of New Mexico for 2 terms in which he squash corruption, had the ONLY administration in the history of New Mexico to balance a Budget and have a surplus, He created thousands of jobs in a state that only has 2.5m people(legally) and is Socially Liberal as he supports Gays, Abortion, ect.

There were options but you and 90mil other people were too damn lazy to look at them, thats the bottom line. Instead you voted for a Failed Economy(fact), 15% and rising unemployment, Gas prices that have doubled since 2008, Escalation in the Middle East, National Credit rating that has Defaulted TWICE, A bill that can detain US citizens that dare to stand up against him without charges or a trial. On top of all that the guy was elected senator with 1 vote, only served 180 days of that term and only showed up to work for his constituency for ~90 days, He was also chosen to spear head the opposition for the reform of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac as a freshman senator. The only thing I look at are the facts of someones record, so I am educated on the subject before I cast a vote. But good luck when gas hits $10 a gallon!
