Ok, I learned four things today.

1: the solenoid inserts where all the way in.
2: I have to buy an oring kit.
3: dwell can be a dangerous thing in the wrong hands.
4: re balls are not perfectly round ( or at least the kind i got... ).

He is probably right about the value. Unless it is a PL, the value on shockers is going to be in the same place as ICD markers very shortly.

I agree that their value is going down, this thread case in point, but it was just his reasoning that threw me off guard. It wasn't even a week before that he was ranting and raving about gun since he was finally able to go out and shoot it. He's the same person that I tell him about something and then 6 months later is telling me the same thing as though I had never told him about it.

Yeah, there is not really any reason you should be screwing with the solenoid inserts, unless you are doing an IPR kit.

Steps I have taken since purchasing the marker:

1: took the bolt out and lubed all of the o rings, re assembled the bolt correctly and re inserted it. Cleaned out the feedneck and feedneck threads from residue paint as well as the frame.

2: read the manual, found out that a shocker should be running at around 8msc dwell and 190 psi, so I adjusted accordingly. It has a Parker noid so it operates at a lower dwell setting and 8msc is recommended for it.

3: tested, raised dwell, still no dice. Took the solenoid off the inspect the spool and noticed there are only two o rings on the manifold instead of 3 like there should be.

4: checked out zds paintball, read about the solenoid inserts and how they should be flush with the back of the marker where they are. They had been turned all the way in and they said this could cause preformance problems, so I backed them out too where ther threads where flush with the threads on the body.

5: out of air and cannot test, as well as assuming I need an oring kit now.

It's the 1 x2mm ID on the solonoid manifold.

Also, I can't get the manifold off... I've tried carefully spraying knockerloose on the screws and making sure they didn't get near the orings but the screws won't budge.
