I broke paint in my b2k4 with pds the other day, (8 month old paint) and now it appears my bolt does not fit into the upper tube correctly. it gets stuck at the front of the ram slot, and ive never heard of a bolt swelling due to breaking paint. what could it be? Question

have you taken it apart and cleaned everything out to make sure there arent any paint shell in there... maybe obstructing the ram?

no, thats the problem, im not even talking the bolt pin in and ligned with the ram, im just talking the bolt itself, sliding freely through the upper tube. when i twist the bolt, so that its like sideways, it goes in, but it gets stuck in the back of the tube (under the swoosh). i have no idea why its doing this, because everything fit fine before, but now its not?

man all i can think of is the bolt swelled a bit like you said, or maybe the upper tube got a kink in it. it might come down to having to sand you bolt a bit. i cant think of anything else it could be.

Your bolt has worn unevenly. Don't worry about it - the bolt had better NEVER be turned 90* when you're playing anyway. Smile

my bolt was like that for a little bit but then i decided to get my tank filled and dry fire it.

get that bolt back in there, increase your input pressures, and fire away, eventually it'd wear down and cause a custom fit that makes it awesome.

on pbnation, someone suggested that my ram was going back to far, therefor having the pin hitting the back of the slot. this might be deforming the shape of the tube, yet it looks fine. i have no idea
