Just got a Bushmaster, looks older, teardrop milling, finger grooves on trigger. The dip switch configuration guide I got off the ICD website didn't work properly with the marker. For instance when I set it to 2 round burst - I get three, when I set three-I get six, when I set autoresponse- I get full auto. The chip is marked ICD2000 v.1.04. I switched it with one I have marked ICD v 2.00 2000 and the gun wouldn't work at all.

Do I have a problem or do the older boards/chips get set up different on the dip switches.

Where can I see the settings for the older Bushmaster dip switches, maybe the ones I've got are for a newer chip.

BushMaster Series - Switches

Settings- Modes - Rate of Fire

Bushmaster & B2K2

Rate of fire is dependant on the mode and switch settings of the DIP switches on the printed circuit board.
Modes are:

semi-auto (one single shot per trigger pull)
2 shot (2 shots if the trigger is pulled and not released, with single shot capabilities)
3 shot burst (3 shots if the trigger is pulled and not released, with single shot capabilities)
6 shot burst (6 shots if the trigger is pulled and not released, with single shot or any amount between capabilities).
Auto Response mode fires once the trigger is pulled and once when it is released.
Turbo mode (emulated trigger reaction). To engage this mode you must maintain a sequence of cycles within a pre-determined timing rate, and as long as the repetition is maintained, the mode with remain engaged.
Zip mode (aramping cycle) starts a 8 BPS and increases to 12 BPS within a 6 shot burst if the trigger is pulled and not released, with single shot or any amount between capabilities.
Full auto (as long as the the trigger is pulled it will cycle)
Mode selection is accomplished using switches 1 thru 3. The following configurations will give you the desired modes:

#1 #2 #3 Mode
off off off Semi Mode
on off off 2 Shot Burst
off on off 3 Shot Burst
on on off 6 Shot Burst
off off on Auto-Response
on off on Turbo Mode
off on on Zip (ramp)
on on on Full Auto

This is the layout from ICD, it shows 2 shot burst
