Right now i have a 93 civic dx, its slow as hell and I'm damn tired of going 0-60 in 13 seconds. I'll be getting a new car in about a year so I'm not really worried about blowing the engine, i want to know what a good used kit would be. My budget is about 1500. help me out guys

dude just get the B16, if you do get a turbo kit for a DX, you won't get that much more power.

get a k&n cone intake warm air intake. Then get a cheap header. You'll get some speed. Do you have an automatic. I have enough speed with my 91 se-r. Hondas are easy to work on ;). Nissans are money pits, I would just leave your car alone and play paintball.

The type-r engines are slow too...My buddy bought a brand new one straight from japan for $7000 installed.....Hes pretty pissed on the crappy performance....Oh well lesson learned....

As for hondas Ive seen them all.....Southern california is like the rice burning capital of the nation! The only honda sled I would build up is an older hatchback or CRX

what kind of car did he put it in? The stock rsx s (which has less hp than the type r) is only 200 hp and while that might not be powerful, it still accelerates 0-60 in under 6 seconds

dude, the one thing that is really important in speed that every honda lacks of is torque, i don't care if it's a H22, B18c5, B16b/a, or even what ever the crap arse NSX engine. right now, I'm buildingr a ls1 powered RX7, with the stock LS1 1. I will do 11's without a sweet, that's a stock engine, Most people with the same setup with 430hp to thw whell is pushing mid 10's on street tire. Honda beat that, plus honda now makes the V6 for Saturn with more arse. Oh yeah, I will push 1g all day long too, and get 25mpg city. I get 18 with my Porsche
