Yes but if your Factory valve and the aftermarket valve are both leaking you need to make sure that it is the cup seals that are leaking and not the valve bodies. If it is the valve bodies I would locate a pair of dial calipers and verify the oring grooves have the same dimensions (hopefully too small) or the valve bodies outside diameters are too small as well. If they all the dimensions are the same it sounds more like the tube is a tad oversize and w/o a bore gauge to check it you may never know. In short all I am saying is you may buy a vapor valve and have the same problem if infact your tube is a tad too big. So verify the valves stems are tight and the valve seats/cup seals are actually sealing. Using a ram gauge for this would be a great help, b/c if the orings on the valve are not sealing the tube, the result is air beedling over into the ram and it will show up on a ram gauge.

Just my 2 cents tho.

i took off the lpr and i believe the spring that pushes the valve stem and seals it to the valve might be a bit to short and its not completly sealing it. I'll go the hardware store buy a new longer spring and see what happens

You can also just stretch the one you have now, for quick fix. You will still need to buy a new spring but this allows you to check right away.
