I have a problem with the bolt not resetting right so I turned my regs back down and raised them back up to try to get the gun to cycle correctly, but no go. All it will do is a small "pfffft" when the bolt is back in the open position. I can turn the LPR down and the bolt will come forward so it covers the hole about 3/4's of the way and then it will fire. In this position, the bolt might move an 1/8". I can push it it back with my finger and it will "pfffft" for a couple of trigger pulls until the bolts moves forward then it will shoot air like normal. I have tried it at several different HPR and LPR settings and it still does the same thing. Another funny thing is when I degass it, the bolt retracts as if it is being turned on instead of being turned off????? Does anybody have any suggestions on what is going on?

Rick

I figured someone would have run across this problem before.

It's in your air supply! Start with your ASA. Make sure the HPR is set to 400psi. Go to BlueFork Designs and follow Gregs Reg set up instructions.

Thanks CJLOVI, I will look into it further than I did earlier. I have already tried my Backup Crossfire and changed both my HPR and LPR to different ones in an attempt to track the problem down.

One mod I did was to dremmel air channels into the stock asa pin! It's the Brass piece in the asa. I also found that there is a sweet sopt for turning the asa screw in! To far blocks the air. Not enoughNot enough air. NDZ sells a awsome asa for about $40. If ya need any help let me know! I had two 05 FS's that after I worked out the bugs shoot +-2 all day!

Here's a video of my Stock 05 Freestyle shooting. It has a Palmer Fatty and a JDS LPR and the modified Stock ASA.

You may want to take a look at your orings as well. If they haven't been lubed in a while they maybe getting tacky or just wore out. I just ran into this on mine. I replaced all the o-rings in the cylinder (cheap insurance) and my FS was moving like new again. New rubbers and super-lube = sexy ball slingin'.

I would think that even if the o-rings are worn and soft some bolt movement would be present. Make sure your HPR is at 400psi and then try to adjust your lpr. Soft o-rings will definately hurt the performance. Using anything other than superlube will expidite the softening of the o-rings. Shocker Lube Dow 33 and Dow 55 are definately a "NO-NO."
