When i bought my BKO (used) basicly 3 of the 4 screws holding the frame to the body were stripped. I then got new screws but then i found out that it was actually the body that was stripped. Someone had tightened it (or used the wrong size screws) so hard that it stripped them. What can i do to fix this? one screw really isnt enough to hold the frame to the body. I was thinking of maybe using a larger size screw and re tapping it, but that would be alot of work. Or would using something like JB weld in the holes then re drill and tap them work?

Any suggestions?

Thanks alot,

Mike

Ouch, thats a hard one. There are places that do that type of work, what they do is the make the hole a little larger and put a threaded insert in side, this is held in place by some kind of compound. Check places that do custom milling, some do this type of repair.

Yeah, it's called heli-coil. Most machine shops should be able to take care of that for you fairly inexpensively.

Be careful the internal air line runs right above those holes on on/off switch side.
