I picked up a b2k4 for $60 and I was told it was due to a miscalculation from manufacturer that causes it to not fully cycle. So I messed with the regulators and it operates, just when I put paint in it. It can barely spit the paint out....
need help????

Bolt hole not facing down?

valve not opening all the way?

messed up hpr?

I was watching this one on ebay as well. I am sure you got a good deal, with a fixable problem. But, without having it to look at... its hard to diagnose. Does it cycle smoothly without paint? Without it being aired-up, the bolt should be able to slide back and forth easily, and stop when it gets to the valve stem. You should be able to push it forward to push the valve open. what is you hpr pressure? you balanced the regs IAW the SOP?

Thats the one . When I first got it bolt pin wasn't in right and the hpr adj screw was cross threaded in the close position so no air was getting passed it replaced with an old Bushmaster hpr works cycles smooth, bolts in correctly. hp is at 300.

Drop hp down to 200 or so. Make sure the bolt is in with the large hole facing down. turn up the lp about half a turn to see if it makes a difference... try these things, then...

Cant really check the valve without taking some stuff apart. Maybe you can pull out the bolt and feel for air coming into the upper tube through the hole just behind where the feedneck threads in.

Since you have 300 psi in the HP air side, then you have either a bolt problem (upside down), or the valve is not opening (stuck, lp not enough to force it open), or the valve is in wrong (with the hole turned so that it is not facing to the upper tube, or in backwards so the large hole is facing the back of the gun...).... any other ideas???

pull the top bolt out and look at the ram head, if you see threads it has come loose. This will cause the problems you described, I Have seen it on many promasters.

thanks, i'll try it all. also i've pulled out the bolt and dried fired it, the ram doesn't seem like its hitting the valve. If the valve is stuck then how does the marker cock itself. thanks for all your guys help.

These are not blow-back markers. The ram is controlled by a solenoid valve in the tray under the body.

I think if you up the low pressure and it may fire fine.

I assume you are new to bushies. In that case, welcome. there is some good info in the ICDU section, in the upper left corner of your screen. And i hate to say it, but there is a good selection of info over on PBN as well.
