Okay, here we go. My lovely new to me sonic lpr is not working correctly. When it is in, and I put air into the system, the gun cocks, but the noid is overpressurizing. I try adjusting the lpr, but the leak does not stop and the intensity of the leak does not change. The gun will also leak out of the little hole next to the lpr threads. (bottom right if you are looking at the front of the gun.

When I put my stock lpr back on, everything seals up just fine and works. I've already taken apart the sonic and lubed the piston and checked the two piston o-rings and the two o-rings on the outside on the lpr.

Any thoughts?

Try changing the two buna o-rings on the outside?

oring between the HP chamber and the LP hole on your sonic is probably leaking.

Yes it is the O-ring that seals the LPR to the body. Replace both of them and you should be set. If that doesn't work the it'll be the O-ring on the piston.

Okay, I replaced both outside o-rings and both inside o-rings on the piston. There is less of a leak now, but still a very apparent leak. Oh, the gun does cock though.

I'm stumped.

I'm taking the lack of responses to mean that everyone else is as stumped as I am?

Have you checked that the schrader valve in the valve stem is working?

First, it would help if I knew what a schrader valve is...but the piston does move up and down when I put pressure on it?

At the end of the LPR where the valve spring goes is a little schrader valve. This should look similar to the little pin valve on a car or bike tire. Make sure that it is able to move back and forth.

Fully assembled, I can move it, but only a little bit...less than 1/8"...more like 1-2 mm. Should I try it disassembled?
