I've got a halo B and an Egg with Y-board. I like the look and capacity of the egg. But my halo rocks! Anyone have experience with the z-board on the egg? Is it really 24 bps or some **** like that?

i'll let you know friday or saturday..
some people have drop tested the egg with z-board, and reported about 22-23 BPS. one guy modified the gears and got 25 out of it.

but that's totally different than an on-gun test, which really matters.

standing still, i dry-fire & chop with my Y-board egg after about 10 quick shots. and i can't shoot that fast.

my z-board comes in a few days though

I have both as well, and my Halo b w/ z-code sees most of the action but the egg with z-board is actually a backup to me now because before I got it z-boarded (thanks Nate) it would slow down my Bushy when I put it on. But with it on set your gun up to 18bps and you should be fine, that is if you have an adjustable board.

actually I did a drop test with both a Y and a Z egg. The Z was a tenth of a second faster dumping 200 balls (10.0 seconds) versus the Y board's 10.1 seconds. Either way it looks like 20 bps.

i mean i campared a y board egg with a x board revvy and they did the same, but you know that its not possible, becuase the revvy had low bats andf the y had new ones lol there need to be stac kpressure for force fed hoppers like the egg and halo

my test was with fresh batteries in both hoppers. I did find it odd that the 'performance' was so close.
You are right, the drop test really isn't a good indicator of on field performance.
Here's a bit of a long winded story for you...something I just found out...with my Y Egg I've always felt like I was not able to walk the trigger well in games. In fact I've been using single finger because I can actually shoot faster than if I try to walk. Turn PDS off (and dry fire) and I can rip. I thought it was ball bobble, eye delay or something causing delays in my firing. (Ah, not so Grasshopper) Put a HaloB on it that I'd bought for a team mate (just trying it out...really!) and HOLY CRUD!!! I can rip strings as fast as I could dry firing but with balls! Guess who's keeping the Halo?
Here's the funny part....my son put the Halo on his Imp in place of his Z Egg and couldn't hold a decent string where normally he's faster than me. The Halo works better on my ST, the Egg better on his Imp. Everyone knows the Halo is 'faster', but that doesn't mean it's better. Depends on the marker setup and the fingers behind it.

Egg with z-board maybe like one or two balls slower than a halo. But, the halo would skip balls when its almost empty.
