well, that would make sense then wouldn't it?
I have a friend that works at as a machinist. He will mill out the Eclipse adjuster to match the original factory one.

Before I go milling this one out. Anyone know where I can get one of the smaller springs?

Do not, I repeat... do not use a smaller spring. This is a major safety concern.

I would only use a smaller spring if it was one that was designed for use with the Eclipse adjuster and the ICD HP reg. That's the million dollar question....is there a spring with the smaller diameter but same tension and spring rate? It's obvious this adjuster is not intended to be used with the spring I have.

It appears that the earlier Bushmaster's had LPR and HPR adjuster springs that were interchangable. Wich would explain why the Eclipse adjuster (made for a "bushmaster 2000") will not accept the newer, fatter, longer spring. Funny what you get when you type in random things into google. Here is a link that I found that enlightened me. Might not be a bad idea to put this somewhere in technical archives?

Thanks, I'll drop that link into the FAQs. However, it does not appear that the LPR and HPR springs are the same. The wire diameter looks larger on the LPR spring.

The writer says they are the same. His pictures are taken a diffent zoom distances making the LPR spring actually look larger than the HPR spring wich we KNOW isn't right. I'm not going to just take this guys word for it though. I'm going to actually try this and see what happens.

Wow. Good link. I just bought a Bushmaster 2000 that looks just like that one. I wonder who would post such a site?
